Pattern,Dynamics And Mechanism Of Spatial Evolution In South Fujian Golden Delta

Under the background of the economic globalization and the regional integration, urban agglomeration has become the core of regional competitiveness. After entering the 21st century, the urbanization in China has been developing rapidly,the trend of urban regionalization and region urbanization is obvious.China's urban agglomeration,a main subject to continuously promote urbanization since the eleventh five-year plan in 2005.The local governments have been vigorously promoting urban agglomeration planning and construction.Thanks to three decades of reform and opening-up and stable development, the Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, and Bohai Rim have become the most economically developed areas in China. As for the Eastern Coastal Developed Regions of China, however, the difference in regional economic development is quite obvious.Although Fujian locates at coastal frontier,it hasn't share the huge benefits of the reform and opening-up.Fujian is reduced to the depression zone in the eastern coastal economic belt. South Fujian Golden Delta, the indeed engine for Fujian's economic growth owing to the unique geographic advantage and a series of preferential supportive policies, plays an important role in the uprising of Fujian economy. Based on the research background, this paper takes South Fujian Golden Delta as study area.The evolutional characteristics, dynamic process and the driving forces of the spatial evolution of South Fujian Golden Delta are analyzed.This paper focuses on the spatial pattern and spatial linkages of the urban agglomeration in South Fujian Golden Delta, remedying the deficiency of the previous research that only paid attention to spatial pattern but ignored the spatial relations. The research finds that the spatial spillover effects of the core has begun to emerge. What's more, the study reveals the present level and stage of SFGD development, and its evolution will be multiple nuclei network. The research of this paper contributes to enriching and perfecting the theory of spatial evolution of urban agglomeration. Meanwhile, the research has reference value and practical significance for the planning and construction of urban agglomeration in South Fujian Golden Delta.
