With the accelerated modernization,the demand for construction resources is increasing urgently.The building resources such as trees,minerals are mainly distributed in hilly and mountainous area.The regional road conditions are complicated with large slope,turn bad,maximum longitudinal grade upto 15% to 20%.The road is paved with slag soil mostly,muddy,potholes.Large vehicles worked with low passing through property and low efficiency.The small size drive car worked with high transport costs.So the need for front steering drive axle with adaptable working condition,reseonable transportation cost arises at the moment.In order to adapt to the complex road conditions of the mountains,it is necessary to the lightening the weight on the basis of guaranteed performance to save costs.The drive axle housing was a new development project.In design process,the finite element analysis and optimization were made,so the performance and weight could meet user requirements.but in the process of road test,it was found that individual drive axle housing appeared break phenomenon.So this topic will analyze reasons for the problems and improvement measures are put forward.This subject use the Hyperworks software to do the finite element analysis of the bridge shell and the associated components with the frame system,find the location of the fracture source and the location of the dangerous location,and then optimize the topology,Combined with shape optimization to improve,in order to ensure the basis of lightweight,get the best model.In the region where the mechanical performance and the static strength of the axle housing meet the requirements,the steering performance of the front steering axle is more important.The results of multi-body dynamics analysis show that the driving performance of the axle axle meets the requirements of the evaluation standard of vehicle handling stability.At the same time,for the newly developed products,it must be combined with the bench test to verify that the subject of the steering axle to meet the bench test standards.
