The ultrasonic scalpel is the most advanced equipment of stopping bleeding in current surgical machines.Until now only Ethicon,a company from USA,can manufacture the matured scalpel named Harmonic Scalpel.Therefore,designing and manufacturing more advanced ultrasonic scalpel can not only break the monopoly of foreign companies,but also bring abundant profits for patients and medical companies.In the system of ultrasonic scalpel,its vibrator helps to convert the electric power to vi bration energy and monitor the scalpel working when the amplitude increased to be a certai n level.Therefore,design and improvement of the vibrators directly influences the efficien cy of the scalpel.This paper gives a deep research on the design theory of the ultrasonic scalpel transdu cer and horn,and offers the size design and simulation according to the theory,finally pres ents some experiment analysis.This paper studies and discusses the scalpel mainly from fo llowing aspects.Firstly,reviewing the application,position and development history of the ultrasonic s calpel.Secondly,offering an overview of the design based on recently medical law,aimed at the scalpel's features.Thirdly,studying and researching the ultrasonic transducer and horn;deducing the pie zoelectric pile,circuit status equation,vibration equations and then deducing the harmonic vibration equation with sandwich type from definite boundary conditions;also deducing th e vibration equation of amplitude in type of stairs,from which clarifying all the theories of our special transducer and horn owned by the ultrasonic scalpel.Fourthly,calculating the vibrator's physical dimension based on theory analysis and m odel it in SolidWorks,then simulating to prove its accuracy.Lastly,designing experiment for the ultrasonic vibrators and verifying the designed vi brator data as expected;simulating the vibrator change on temperature and loads;studying the relationship between change factors and characteristic parameters to offer proof for pro duct optimizing...
