During the development of bridge construction in China,pier is the weakest part of bridge,and the experimental study on the seismic resistance of bridge piers is the foundation of the seismic research of the whole bridge.At present,there are many researches about the seismic test of single bridge piers at home and abroad.But most of them are round and rectangular solid piers,and there are few experimental studies on the seismic performance of bridge piers with other cross sections.Therefore,it is of great practical significance to study the seismic performance of rectangular hollow bridge piers.In order to better reproduce the whole process of earthquake and the effect of various seismic waves,the reinforced concrete rectangular hollow pier is conducted in shaking table tests,and the test scheme and the weight box are designed and be simulated with the finite software.Main work are as follows:1.The different rates of 2 reinforced concrete rectangular hollow pier in the uniform similarity law for the scale model and shaking table test on the stirrup.2.Design and manufacture of 2 reinforced concrete rectangular hollow piers,summed up a complete set of test programs.3.The design scheme and make a plan according to the weight of the weight box used to bear the upper load.4.Simulation of the finite element software Abaqus to the weight box,from stress,strength requirements and seismic acceleration and displacement and other factors to evaluate the weight box.The study found that the design of the kind of rectangular hollow pier can meet the test requirements of the design theory,the weight box can meet the requirements of the destructive test and provides quality simulation for the pier.Artificial test results of this study can be used in the practical engineering as a reference.
