With the development of the city, the functional requirements of the building are increasingly diversified, more and more irregular buildings appear. The vertical arrangement irregularity of the building structure can easily cause the large layer deformation in the weak layer position, causing serious damage of structure. With the development of base isolation technology, the base isolated structure has shown good isolation effect in many actual earthquakes, which has received more and more attention. In this paper, the seismic response of the base-isolated structure with vertical stiffness irregular is analyzed and compared with the corresponding seismic structures. The main conclusions are as follows:(1) The modal analysis of the structures with vertical stiffness irregular are carried out, the vibration period and the vibration characteristics of the structure are studied. It is shown that the vibration period of the base-isolated structure is significantly prolonged, the vibration of the structure is mainly at the vibration isolation layer, the supper-structure is dominated by the rigid motion.(2) The seismic response of the structures with vertical stiffness irregular in the first story are analized. The results show that the inter-story displacements, inter-story shear force, and absolute acceleration of the floor are significantly reduced, the supper-structure has been effectively protected.(3) The seismic response of the structures with vertical stiffness irregular in the middle story are analyzed. The results show that the inter-story displacements,inter-story shear force, and absolute acceleration of the floor are significantly reduced,the supper-structure has been effectively protected. |
