Air propeller is the tool which transforms the power of aerial engine to the thrust of aircraft. The propeller's performances through calculation and experiment in wind tunnel are the base of propeller's design and application. To satisfy the laboratory of NH2101 wind tunnel's needed in propeller's experiment in practice, this paper designs and builds a platform for the propeller of the wind tunnel experiment, and experimental analysis on aerodynamics for a small-scale wooden propeller with two leaf blades based on the platform are carried out. Preliminary numerical analysis for the experimental model is also conducted.First, the small-scale propeller wind tunnel experimental model was designed and fabricated based on the size required by the wind tunnel test section size, a wind tunnel experimental platform with propeller parameters measurement system was designed and built. The main parameters include propeller thrust, torque, rotate speed and the static pressure on the spinner surface in the propeller slipstream.Second, the aerodynamic experiment for a small-scale wooden propeller with two leaf blades was made, and the aerodynamic performance under different distance ratios, flow velocities, rotation speeds and angles of attack were also investigated.Third, the static pressure on the spinner surface under the state with propeller slipstream was measured, and the distribution of static pressure coefficient on three section of spinner under different rotation speeds, flow velocities and angles of attack were studied.In the end, the typical experimental model and propeller experiment conditions were determined. By comparing the simulation calculation value and experimental results, the drawbacks in the experiment and numerical simulation were proposed.
