Propeller slipstream affects the aerodynamic performance of airplane. Hence knowledge of the aerodynamic interference between the propeller and the airplane is significant and engineering valuable for the design of airplane. The design of the propeller by theory is applied for the numerical simulation study of interference between the propeller and the airplane and different phase Angle of propeller by comparing the results of numerical calculation model of propeller slipstream.First, based on the theory of airplane propeller and the performance parameters of the aircraft, a new propeller is designed by determine the design parameters of propeller.Second, by the apply of the accurate simulation of sliding mesh on the single propeller, calculate the aerodynamic characteristics of the single propeller and compares the design value. Numerical results show good agreement with the design value, the calculation results are reasonable, illustrates the feasibility of modeling method based on sliding grid.Last, the specific shape of the aircraft was designed which are used for numerical simulation of the interference between propeller and the airplane by the apply of the accurate simulation of sliding mesh, and it was conducted that analyse the effect of propeller on the performance of the airplane and the effect of airplane on the performance of the propeller. The result shows The flow field structure is reasonable. It is concluded that the sliding mesh method for simulation of the flow with propellers would be a good way to analyze the properties of flow field. |
