Free flight is the effective operational model to solve the airspace congestion and improve the airspace capacity. Research on the safety assessment of flight interval and the development of simulation software under the condition of free flight are the essential ways in order to realize free flight.First, using the method of stochastic differential equations establishes the aircraft flight collision risk model. Confirm the relative position and speed of the aircraft on the joint distribution density, and convert it into a Gaussian density to simplify the calculation of nonlinear filtering theory, which includes the introduction of how the CNS performance of random factors, human factors and avoidance system performance affect the flight collision.Second, the theoretical basis is the concept of free flight and computer graphics.The flight rules and the measure of conflict avoidance in the free flight are made. By Using the technology of OpenGL and VC++ develop the free flight simulation platform. Under the given free flight airspace, it can simulate a number of aircraft's flight, of which include climbing, descending, the avoidance of flight collision, etc. Finally, the true and effective data are recorded and concluded, which is the basis of studying the collision risk in the free flight.Through the above precise design and reiterative experiment, all of the system function of the free flight simulation platform has been come true, and has achieved satisfactory results.
