In recent years, the ground fire accidents of aircrafts due to crashes and other causes frequently occur. These accidents not only pose threats to the safety of passengers, but also make a higher requirement of firefighting and rescue capacity at the airport. In order to improve the firefighters' ability to deal with aircraft fires, many countries around the world have already strengthened the research of entity aircraft firefighting training equipment. Currently, there are no domestic design specifications and safety standard of Aircraft Firefighting Training Simulators(AFTS). It causes a long design cycle, high construction costs, and more passive safety evaluations of AFTS. Thus, the structural loads and the numerical simulation analysis in the structure' behavior caused by fire, can give a certain guidance to structural design and fire safety research on the AFTS in the early design phase. In the section of structural design, the AFTS is analyzed based on the requirements of the compositions and overall function in the ARFF. The design method of the integrated AFTS is presented to meet the functional requirements of entity aircraft firefighting trainings. The overall structure including the main part of Boeing 737-800 as the prototype and the MA60 as the auxiliary is determined in the method. Then, a detailed three-dimensional design model is established on the PRO/E platform. In the section of structural fire safety research, the cabin fires and the fuel leaked fires of extravehicular are described through the theory of fire numerical simulation. The distribution of environment temperature on skeleton structure and thermal radiation on the cabin by leaked fuel pool fire are calculated on the FDS platform. Then the heat transfer progress from the fire field to the internal structure is deduced. Furthermore, the thermal physical characteristics and the mechanical properties by the thermal load are analyzed. Based on this, the analysis process of fire-thermal-structural coupling is summed up. The thermal stress and strain of skeleton structure are gained through the method of numerical simulation analysis on the ANSYS platform. Finally, the safety of the AFTS cabin structure is calibrated by the use of steel fire safety method, and the safety of the thermal AFTS functioned by the leaked fuel pool fire is assessed, which applied the thermal radiation damage theory. The method of structural design and fire safety research on the AFTS is summarized in order to provide an efficient entity fire equipment and technical support for airport firefighters. Thereby, the level of airport security emergency rescue is significantly improved.
