As environmental issues become increasingly prominent, China increasingly sets strict demands on environmental protection, and Continuous Emission Monitoring System is a modern means of coordinating the relationship between environmental protection and economic development. Continuous Emission Monitoring System can monitor the flu gas emissioning real-timely, continuously, online for coal-fired power stations, providing real-time monitoring data for the environmental protection and management department, which helps the department to supervise and cope with the coal-fired power stations.At present, Continuous Emission Monitoring System has been widely used in our country, which has realized the function of continuously monitoring the flue gas for coal-fired power stations, remote-monitoring the coal-fired power stations from the surveillance center, transmitting the basic data from coal-fired power stations to the monitoring center. With increasing requirements for flue gas monitoring in our country, there are some deficiencies in the current situation of Continuous Emission Monitoring System. The real-time capability of the system can not meet the demands of the monitor operation; the system lacks the ablity of automatic control and remote supervision; the system is low-integration and poor-scalability.In order to solving the existing problems, this article will apply the technology of the Distributed Control Systems and the Real-time Database to the Continuously Emission Monitoring System. According to the needs of Continuous Emission Monitoring System, combining with the structural characteristics of Distributed Control System, this article designs the structure of the system, the network topology and the structure of the Real-time Database System, realizing the function of controlling the field devices automatically, realizing the function of supervision to every coal-fired power stations remote from the monitoring center. Combining with the knowledge of the Real-time Database technology, this article designs real-time database for the Continuous Emission Monitoring System, which achieves the function of real-time data acquisition, processing, storage and transmission, as well as improving the real-time performance of the system.Combining an upgrading project for the flue gas monitoring system in one city, the structure and the function of the Continuous Emission Monitoring System has been successfully realized, and the system has the characteristics of better real-time performance, stronger control ability, more stable operation, higher reliability and stronger expansibility.
