Software Defined Radio technology was developed from the military communications technology, 1992, Joeeph Mitola formally proposed the whole concept of "Software Defined Radio"(software defined radio) in the U.S.telecommunications system meeting, and he pointed out that the ideal software radio technology is the ADC or DAC as close as possible to the antenna. Worldwide countries are actively researching and developing appropriate standards in this field,and have made a lot of achievements and used in some actual field, but the eventually recognized standard system is not yet formed, but its presence is undoubtedly a great leap forward in the field of electronic design. Now the software radio technology has been incorporated into the national "863" high-tech development plan and actively research in China. As the performance limitations of chip processing speed and the A /D sampling, the software radio technology still can not get the full sense at Current stage,it is generally achieved in some kind of compromise solution.This design is a real-time receiver for real-time transmission of the health status of the airplane and the datalink system of light and ground communications based on software defined radio technology and Virtual Instrument, and it is designed and developed for different types of signals. With the continuous development and prosperity of the modern civil aviation, the requirements of the aircraft flight datalink real-time transmission are increasingly high, the same to the receiving equipment on the ground. Real-time transmission of aircraft status information including two datalink: aircraft communications addressing and reporting system data link(referred as ACARS data link) and broadcast Automatic Dependent Surveillance data link(referred as ADS-B data link).On one hand, the two data link transmission signal includes many kinds of modulation signals,such as AM, MSK, PSK, and different modulation needs different demodulation,so it improves the hardware costs and maintenance costs.On the other hand, different modulated signals occupy different frequency bands, the frequency range is from41 0Hz to910 Hz, and it improves the difficulty of receive and the performance requirements on the hardware device. The design of receiver using software defined radio technology to receive the different modulation downstream data of the aircraft during the flight improves the programmability and economic processing on a common hardware platform.
