With the increasing demand for the global energy-saving and environmental protection, adsorption refrigeration technology with solar energy, industrial waste heat and automobile exhaust heat has become a research focus in the industry and academia. The refrigerant of physical adsorption working pairs contains pure water and alcohols, its advantage is not flammable and explosive, no pollution to the environment and can reduce the adverse effects on human living space. At the same time, physical adsorption working pairs rarely appears the phenomenon of adsorption performance attenuation with the increase of adsorption cycle. The adsorptive property of adsorption refrigeration working pairs has a great effect on the refrigeration system performance. But, because of the different types and production specifications of the absorption working pairs, the adsorption property and adsorption equation are not identical, which has a great effect on the adsorption refrigeration system's design and operation. For the phenomenon, this paper compared and analysed the physical adsorption properties about silica gel – water, activated carbon – ethanol, zeolite – water and a mixed adsorption working pair, and studied the double bed adsorption refrigeration system based on the mixed adsorption working pairs.First, we set up the adsorption performance test platform about adsorption working pairs, through the test of four adsorption working pairs, compared and analysed the impact of desorption temperature on adsorption working pairs' desorption volume and desorption speed, and fitting out their respective adsorption equation.Using Matlab to write the static cycle performance testing program of adsorption working pairs, which simulated the corresponding numerical of temperature and pressure, as well as the effect of temperature end adsorption, desorption end temperature, evaporation temperature, condensation temperature on adsorption working pairs' static thermal performance.Using Matlab/simulink to set up the adsorption working pairs' dynamic adsorption cycle model, which simulated the system cycle's performance parameters and compared it with static parameters to verify the feasibility of the dynamic model,meanwhile, found out the adsorption working pairs' corresponding optimal cycle and driving heat source temperature. Using Matlab/simulink to set up the adsorption working pairs' dynamic adsorption cycle general simulink program, which can facilitate other adsorption working pairs' static thermal performance prediction.According to the analysis of adsorption working pairs' static and dynamic thermal performance, determined the compound adsorption working pairs' suitable working temperature range and optimum cycle, then using the adsorption equation by experimental fitting to design the adsorption bed of continuous adsorption refrigeration system, falling film evaporator and coil condenser. Finally, using the parameters of each part to simulate the continuous adsorption refrigeration system, finding that when the evaporator inlet temperature is 15 ?, the refrigeration power can achieve 3 kw, the system COP is 0.5,which meets the parameter requirements of low temperature heat driven absorption refrigeration machine system design.
