Aero engine blade is a typical complex free-form surfaces, it works on complex environment and has high machining accuracy requirements. As a new way of grinding, CNC abrasive belt grinding can meet the process requirements of blade surface. However, the current decision-making process of blade grinding process parameters depends on the experience of staff. It can't guarantee the process optimization. To enhance the intelligence level of abrasive belt grinding machine, this paper is used to study the decision-making method and system development. The main contents of this paper are concluded as follows:The decision-making objectives of blade CNC abrasive belt grinding process parameters are analyzed. This paper first analyzes the aero engine blade structural characteristics and basic process. According to the specific parameters of workpiece, abrasive belt, wheel contact, grinding machine and grinding process, this paper establishes the overall program of process parameters decision-making.The decision-making method of blade CNC abrasive belt grinding is researched. The process of blade CNC abrasive belt grinding is a complex condition and contains many parameters. In order to presenting the grinding process information better, this paper chooses the frame representation. To extract the effective grinding process parameters, this paper uses Rough Set theory to complete attribute discretization, attribute reduction and weight determining. Indeed, this paper presents a method of decision-making. This method completes decision-making process by multi-retrieval mechanism, case evaluation, case modification and case-based learning.The decision-making system of blade CNC abrasive belt grinding is designed and developed. On the basis of decision-making method and system requirements analysis, this paper designs three layer architectures which comprising base support layer, function implementation layer and user interface layer. Then this paper chooses Qt Creator as development tool to design database and main function modules. And the system contains system management database management and decision-making process parameter module. At last, the system was applied on the grinding machine, and reaches the design goal.
