The conveyor is an important modern industrial bulk transport equipm ent,and as the main transmission parts.It has complicated mechanical prope rties.The fabric reinforced light conveyor belt is compared with the ordina ry conveyor belt,which has the complex mechanical properties such as lar ge deformation,nonlinear,high viscoelasticity and so on.The mechanical pro perties of light conveyor belt bring a lot of difficulties to reinforced desig n,analysis and application.According to the results of the static analysis of the conveyor belt,the design and manufacturing requirements are often not satisfied.Therefore,it is necessary to carry out research on the dynamic me chanical properties of the light conveyor belt.The research resul-ts will gui d significance for the preparation,the improvement design and the practical application of the light conveyor belt.In this paper,the finite element analysis software ANSYS is used for numerical analysis.Firstly.To establish a finite element analysis model of a fabric core light conveyor belt;Secondly,according to the modal analysis of the light conveyor belt studied the relevant parameters(including the structural parameters and material parameters) that affect the inherent characteristics of the conveyor belt;Thirdly,according to the dynamic response of the fabric core light conveyor belt.Analyzed the influence of the starting time and the starting acceleration on the light conveyor belt;Finally,with a tear on the fabric core conveyor modal analysis and dynamic response analysis,analysised the influence of defects on the dynamic response of the tear and the inherent characteristics of conveyor belt.The results show that the first four natural frequency of the light conveyor belt is basically the same as that of the other conveyor belts;the spacing,pretightening force and mass density of the roller are sensitive factors that affect the natural frequency of the light conveyor belt,but the influence on the fundamental frequency is different to other frequencies;The maximum first principal stress of the normal working of the fabric core is located in the rear of the driven roller;The maximum first principal stress at both ends of the drive roller is larger than the other position about 2-3 orders of magnitude in the start process;the greater the starting acceleration, the greater the maximum first principal stress at the same starting time;Tear has little effect on the natural frequency and stress of the light transmission belt.
