With the steady growth of domestic energy demand and improving requirement of energy supply structure, AP1000, as the third generation nuclear power plant, its construction has been started in Zhejiang and Shandong Province, including the world's first AP1000 unit. Modularization design and construction is one of the AP1000 design advantages, but in the actual construction process, difficulties are found when placing the self-consolidation concrete inside the module. Therefore, push to resolve this difficulty, has the important practical mean for the construction of the subsequent AP1000 series unit.This research is aimed at the goal to improve the placing conditions of one time concrete pouring, with taking the measuring of the lateral pressure during the actual construction process, analysis and calculate with the theoretical model, to study the distribution of lateral pressure produced when self-consolidation concrete pouring. At the same time, from the analysis and simulation through the established mathematical model, compare the actual measurement data and calculation result of model, to find the reasonable parameters, and verify the result by performing another actual concrete placement inside a same ratio model.Through the research processes, actual lateral pressure measuring, theoretical modeling analysis, and mock-up concrete placement, it is identified that the initial setting time and placement velocity, are the critical factors decided the one time concrete placement height inside structure module. And provide the suggested one time placement height and placement speed under different environment temperature, which can be used for the following units' construction plan.
