In order to meet the requirements of automotive wheel hub manufacturers for the detection of wheel hub runout, we apply the runout measuring principle, Learn from domestic and foreign hub runout detection equipments, design and analysis of the hub runout detection system. This detection system can meet the production line docking, Realize hub centering, positioning, clamping, detecting and the processing detection data. The system uses four robotic arm centering mechanism and pneumatic quick clamping structure to achieve clamping hub; Motor-driven precision spindle to drive wheel rotation; Roller contacting wheel hub, micro-displacement sensor real-time detecting the displacement of the probe. In this paper we design structure through the establishment of three-dimensional model, analysis and eliminate errors according to the structure. According to the system requirements, we select drive unit and design hardware structure. The measurement accuracy is micron and it can meet the testing speed requirement. It has practical significance for promoting the development of domestic wheel hub detection field.
