Concrete Face Rockfill Dam,as for its security and adaptability,becomes a widely used type of dam. But with the height of Rockfill Dam being increasing and the terrain conditions becoming more complex, it raises higher and higher requirements about the theoretical and analytical means in the project of Rockfill Dam analysis on stress and deformation. Since the panel fracture,seams open and seal failure caused by the dam deformation and uneven settlement, becomes the main problem of Face Rockfill Dam, the high dam especially. Therefore, this paper in combination with ultra-high Concrete Face Rockfill Dam characteristics carries out numerical analysis on ultra-high Concrete Face Rockfill Dam dam by the nonlinear finite element theory.Firstly, conbining with characteristics of CFRD,this paper does research and analysis on the constitutive relation of rockfill and computing model of contact surface, By comparing the selection of Duncan-Chang EB model to simulate rockfill materials of CFRD, and the form of contact elements to simulate the contact friction element is used to.Secondly, according to the principle of Duncan-Chang E-B model, to do secondary development in ABAQUS software platform and verify the rationality of the program by numerical. For the characteristics of of the construction of CFRD, using the active-kill method of ABAQUS software, linear load defined by spatial functions, the realization of the contact problem and other characteristics of Rockfill Dam to simulate the process of construction and storage so as to achieve analytical purposes of stress- strain.Finally, an engineering example of a hydropower station in Tibet, to establish solid model in the 3 d software CATIA and import to ABAQUS, and using special units simulate the touch between the panel and the cushion in the dam effectively.By nonlinear finite element calculation to achieve deformation and stress distribution regularities of the panel, and according to the results to analyze, summarize and put forward some prevention measures of the panel cracks.
