Ground proximity warning system(Ground Proximity Warning System, GPWS) plays an important role in ensuring the aircraft safety in flight. There may be dangerous about false alarm and leaking alarm during designing GPWS. Before ground proximity warning computer(Ground Proximity Warning System, GPWC) is installed, Ground Proximity Warning verification system can reduce false alarm and leaking alarm to ensure aircraft security.Firstly, the paper analyzes the basic function and principles of ground proximity warning system. Then describe the connection between ground proximity warning computer and other systems. Finally, it presents a program about Ground Proximity Warning verification system.In order to verify ground proximity warning computer, the verification system includes three module:flight simulation module, GPWS test simulation module and terrain database module.The three modules achieve some functions, such as simulation real fight and transmission flight parameters, simulation alarm curves based on flight parameters, generating terrain models. Based on Markov characteristic of random terrain, terrain database module uses statistical methods and fits real data to get a realistic terrain model. GPWS test simulation module includes interface adapter, GPWS simulation software(generation envelope),human-machine interface. Interface adapter transfer flight data into ARINC429 data which proximity warning computer can recognize by using DEI1016 and BD429. GPWS simulation software(generation envelope) module can simulate and calculate flight data. Flight model and terrain model are built in the module firstly, then three performance indicators about success alarm rates, false alarm rates and alarm earning value(success alarm rate-false alarm rate) are weighed. Finally simulate alarm curve by using status transition matrix. Alarm curve can be displayed in man-machine interface.After GPWC connects with the verification system, fight data is transferred into GPWS test simulation module and GPWC. By observing alarm condition of GPWC and flight data position in alarm curve, we can judge whether there is dangerous in GPWC.
