With globalization of the world, there is no greater impact on architectural field than internationalization of today's architecture system, homogeneity of modern architecture,as well as similar phenomenon of urban form. Chinese modern architectural design how to highlight its own characteristic under the impact of globalization? The only method to solve this problem is to look for the source of Chinese traditional culture.Architectural design might be lead by traditional culture essence. Also keep on eye with the demand of the international market. It is able to create outstanding architectural works with national spirit and local specialties.This paper which starts from the study of traditional Chinese architecture development context and analyzes the major factors affecting the construction methods of traditional Chinese architecture, such as social ethics, the surrounding environment,cultural impact,tries to explains the difference between traditional architecture and western architecture in form.Finally, on today which western architectural thoughts trend popular,to find the way how to inherit and carry forward traditional Chinese culture on the basis of function using.The following three chapters are to go deeper analysis of the elements(shape), space(environment) and imagery(sense) of traditional architecture, and the author tries to put forward and summarize a contemporary way to represent the culture and language of traditional architecture in combination with some classic cases of Pritzker Architecture Prize winners Mr. Wang Shu and Mr. I.M.Pei's.The research conclusions of this paper aim to provide some new thought and methods for creating innovative architectural designs by combining the concepts of inheriting and developing traditional architecture culture with the architecture practice,and make architectural innovation and theoretical innovation by incorporating modern advanced science and technology.
