With the acceleration of urbanization process, tower crane as an indispensable means of transport in the middle and high-rise building's construction, the utilization rate is higher and higher. At the same time, the accidents of tower crane arrive in quick succession. The accidents of tower crane seriously threat to the life of construction workers and surrounding personnels, which delay progress of the project and cause huge economic losses to society. Timely find out the cause of tower crane accidents to determine responsibility for the accident, which is the key to determining the compensation scheme to resolve conflicts in all aspects, but also providing valuable reference for the development of accident prevention measures that has an important practical significance in improving the level of tower crane's safety management.At present, the fault tree analysis is often used to analyze the reasons for the tower crane accidents.But the work of constructing fault tree is heavy and difficult, analysis process is not intuitive and other shortcomings, which often slow down the progress of the analysis, increase the difficulty that tower crane accidents analyse. The subject for current inadequate method of tower crane's accident analysis,as the basis of the State Administration of Work Safety project “the key technology research and application of tower crane virtual reproduction”, the author put forward a new method of analyzing tower crane's accidents, which's combined with the research of finite element analysis and virtual reality technology in the field of relevant accident analysis. The analysis method base on the observability of virtual reality technology and the accuracy of finite element analysis results,which is advanced for reducing the tower crane accidents analysis difficulty, improving the accuracy of the tower crane accidents analysis and shortening the cycle of tower crane accident analysis.This paper mainly completed the following two aspects of the work:(1)Construct the collapse accident reconstruction of tower crane virtual reality system. Based on the experiences of existing tower crane accident analysis data and relevant experts' opinions, at first we determined the overall of accident system construction plan, then building tower model and the surrounding scene model by using three-dimensional modeling software UG and 3Ds Max, at last using virtual reality development platform Quest3 D completed collapse of the tower crane accident reconstruction simulation system.(2)The accidents of tower crane's simulation and analysis. By summarizing the previous simplified method for constructing finite element model of the tower crane, in ANSYS using ansys parametric design language to establish the tower crane model. By combined with the actual working conditions, failure analysis and calculation for the situation in different parts of the tower crane to study the mechanism of the accident,Finally take advantage of the tower crane collapse accident reconstruction virtual reality system to simulate finite element analysis results to provide visual discussion of the program for analysts.
