The purpose of this thesis is how to use the advantage of iBeacon positioning technology, to implement home automation system with some other smart devices.Through the iBeacon equipment, locate the position of the smart phone by location-based fingerprint localization algorithm, and the phone's location which represents the people of position, and trigger predefined event when people enters or leaves a specific area. There are two types of event, one is informing the user by smart phone push feature; the other is the direct control of electrical equipment through the smart plug, to achieve the purpose of automation.Since the user of home automation system is the average consumer, so in the beginning of the system development, easy operation is the requirement. By understanding and learning fingerprint localization algorithm, and combined home usage, summarizes a method with simple operation and meeting the requirements of the positioning: when setting event, collect the fingerprint information of the position where trigger the event, instead of collecting all the fingerprint information offline stage. Comparison with real-time fingerprint information in online stage. If same, then this event can trigger.In this thesis, home automation solution is implemented, and system can achieve a variety of automation requirements by custom event. While providing system scalability, to provide possibilities of adding more types of events. But the system also has shortcomings, positioning accuracy and stability is not very good, the algorithm needs to be optimized.
