The moment of inertia is the physical quantity of rotational inertia of rigid body, and it has a important significance on designing structure of mechanical parts and engineering practice. Meanwhile, the moment of inertia is one of the important indexes for evaluating the reliability and stability of various aircraft and aerospace products.The paper analyses and summarizes specific characteristics the rotation inertia measurement device to design creatively three-torsion-bars device of testing moment of inertia based on the torsion pendulum method for small mass cone cylinder. It improves apparently the measurement range on the basis of ensuring accuracy. Firstly, the working principle of three-torsion-bars mechanism was introduced in detail and the measurement range of the moment of inertia was deduced and calculated emphatically, it turns out that the measurement range is advanced substantially. At the same time, the stress simulation analysis of the torsion bar is carried out, and the strength is checked to ensure the normal operation of the torsion bar.Secondly, the design of the electronic control system, including the hardware connection and software design of the programmable controller and the man-machine interface, and the choice of the photoelectric sensor. Finally, according to the actual working condition, the error and precision of the measuring device were analyzed concretely, and the method of calibration and test was put forward. The test accuracy of the equipment was verified by the data and results of experiment. |
