In order to improve the technology level of testing static parameter of rocket bomb and increase its hit ratio, this paper describes in detail the measuring system of the moment of inertia of rocket bomb, the designing principle and realizing method.Firstly, the possibilities of measuring the moment of inertia of a rigid body with non-regular shape are explored. The relationship between the moment of inertia of a rigid body and its inherent oscillatory cycle is found. A project has been brought forward, which focuses on the combination of an oscillation equipment with double steel-rob and the photoelectric technology on non-contact measuring. With collective precision being analyzed, the paper also points out how to bring it into effect. Secondly, the design of mechanism, hardware and software of photoelectric measuring system with a core of AT89C51 single chip microcomputer is accomplished. Finally, the experiment data are analyzed and the conclusion is drawn.The result indicates that the relative error is below one percent. The result is among the best ones in our country. And it provides reliable gist for analyzing the dynamic parameter of rocket bomb.
