With the development of aviation industry, the current air traffic flow highly auguments, which brings lots of burnden to the air triaffic net. It is quite important of surveillencing flights in airspace with an air traffic management(hereafter ATM) system for air traffic control. It is the current hot issue to research the next generation ATM system. The 4D trajectory display is one of the core technologies of the future ATM system.Current air traffic management systems display 4D trajectory with a two dimensional display mode, which may limit the controllers sometimes. The 4D trajectory in 3D real-time display can effectively improve the situation. For the request of 4D trajectory in 3D real-time display in the future ATM system, the technologies of display are researched and a system is established to validate the display technologies.First, to provide the 3D geograpghy information, World Wind is used for 3D rendering the airspace background as display subsystem to offer a good environment for display system. Second, building a transparent layer, using configuration, coordination convertion and etc, the differences between background and trajectories are eliminated, which leads to a harmonic display environment and satisfies the purpose of dynamic 3D track display. Third, to get the data resource for display, multi-threads processing is used to process with data before displat it and is used to manage the dynamic aircraft information. Finally, data of ADS-B are used in the system. And an independent complete system is established to provide the 4D trajectory 3D display in real time.The result indicates that the proposed 4D trajectory display technology has the capacity to be applied in the new generation of air traffic management system. It is compatible with traditional air traffic display technology within the over-looking mode and offer more direct dynamic information in airspace to the controllers within the tilted-looking mode, which can switch to any scene or target. It helps improve the effectiveness and reliability for air traffic control.
