Central Maintenance Computing Functions(CMCF)is one of the core functions of Central Maintenance System(CMS) in Boeing 787 aircraft.CMCF can process and display the fault information data which comes from the LRMs(Line Repalceable Module). It takes an important role during the whole aircraft maintenance field.CMCF is a mature technology running on the Boeing 787 aircraft, and the Airbus 380 aircraft also has the functionally similar system. However, in China, there is no formed systematic theory about the central maintenance system based on the new avionics system research. CMCF structural model is established by the effort of studying on ARINC624 protocol, ARINC664 protocols, Boeing 787 manual and the understanding about the working principle of CMCF in Boeing 787 aircraft.Firstly, with understanding the function of CMCF, the whole function can be divided into several specific extractions from the users' angle, and each function module of CMCF is designed in detail. Secondly, according to the manual and specification, the data which can be needed by CMCF strutral model is summarized, and the structure of data is designed. Then based on ARINC624 protocol, design the communication mechanism which is equivalent to the Boeing 787 aircraft. A method based on UDP protocol is used to test the CMCF structural model with a software. Finally, Boeing 787 member system simulation software and the testing examples designed with ARINC624 protocol are used to demonstrate the validity of CMCF structural model.Through the research of Boeing 787 central maintenance computing function, a CMCF structural model is established, and the working process of onboard maintenance system based on IMA can be demonstrated. It provides a certain reference value to the onboard maintenance technology development and an idea of the onboard maintenance system design based on the new generation avionics system with our own.
