The ADS-B system has longer detection range, flexible information sharing and faster update speed of the data. Consider these advantages, new collision avoidance technology depends a lot on ADS-B system. In addition, based on receiving ADS-B data, track simulation,structure the conflict scenario, conflict detection and collision avoidance algorithm are researched to design a collision avoidance system for the general aviation. It is designed for complex conflict scenarios such as terminal areas and airports.In this system, ADS-B IN technology has been used to estimate and evaluate the risk of collision.For track simulation, conflict detection and collision avoidance based on ADS-B, following items are researched: Based on the real flight information of Tianjin Airport which is received by SBS-3 ground station in our laboratory, analyze the characteristic of general aviation data and simulate the statistical tracks of the general flights.Construct air traffic scenario area, verified the conflict detection algorithm. For conflict detection, dynamic protection area is defined to provide longer threshold time and make pilot to have more reacting time. Based on Genetic Algorithm to adjust the separate distance of the aircrafts and based on this information sharing system, maintaining of the multiple aircrafts’ separation distance is realized.The simulation platform which is a virtual airborne interface is designed by C# program, the platform receives track data by UDP communication and the traffic scenarios are displayed in the interface, the conflict detection and collision avoidance functions are achieved by this simulation process which also combined with Matlab algorithm. After verifying by actual simulation, the system can detect the potential risk of conflicting.
