Symbolic Application Of Chinese Garden Empty Window In Modern Environmental Space Construction

Chinese traditional garden is the historical product of human ideology`s development,it always invested with human spiritual ideas and good wishes,contained with rich informations of human spiritual culture and social culture.Empty window is an important component of Chinese traditional garden,with the development of society and changes of times,it`s artistic external form and intrinsic cultural connotation becomes more colorful.The evolution process of Empty window`s artistic external form and intrinsic cultural connotation is also the evolution process of the Aesthetic Thought which contained in the social culture at that time.We should refine the essence of Empty window through it`s external form and cultural connotation, Inheriting and developing it in the way of innovation and reconstruction.In this paper,four chapters will be followed to systematically expound on the symbolic application of Empty window in the modern space environment construction.The first chapter is exordium,defining the research object and scope of this paper,analytical research background, purpose and meaning,and propose the necessity of the symbolic application of the Empty window in the modern space environment construction; the second part mainly studies on the artistic forms of Empty window in Chinese traditional garden,analyzes the diversity of artistic characteristics,functions and design methods of Empty window; the third part, combined with the symbol of Empty window`s elements,use examples to analyze the application of Empty window symbols in modern interior, landscape and public space;the fourth part,on the basis of analysis on the symbolic application of Empty window, further discuss the innovative performance of Empty window in modern environmental space,explore how to take a new look at the inheritance of Empty window culture.
