At present, with the rapid development of social economy and the increasing modernization of science and technology, the scale of power grid has gradually expanded, and the pumped storage power station which have more stable running state and higher economic efficiency has entered the golden period of development. installed capacity is more and more big. Pumped storage power station which occupy a pivotal position in the electric power system of our country,has become a indispensable part of the modern power grid.Speed regulation system of pumped storage unit is the key equipment that to control and guarantee the stability of unit operation. Through conduct a comprehensive accurate real-time monitoring and reasonable assessment of speed regulation system of pumped storage unit, it can give an intuitive reflect of the unit real-time health score, which will make it convenient for staff to determine whether the unit at a normal state. It avoids the problem of excessive maintenance, extended the overhaul interval, reduce the waste of manpower resource, which conforms to overhaul, from preventive maintenance to the state overhaul of industry development trend. At the same time, it guarantees the dynamic stability of the pumped storage unit, prolong the service life of pumped storage unit, ensure the efficiency of the unit, and make hydropower station have the maximum economic benefits.Based on the detailed analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of analytic hierarchy process and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation, then research the state evaluation model which used in the speed control system of pumped storage unit. Frist, from multiple aspects considering influence factors of running status of the speed regulation system of pumped storage units, comprehensive analysis of various factors, choose that which can reflect the state mostly of its performance parameters, establish a hierarchical model of evaluating the speed control system,then using the analytic hierarchy process to calculate the model often has the weight of each index. Secondly, in order to keep the balance between indicators, and solve the same level assessment of multiple index gravely deviates from the phenomenon, we introduce the balanced function, which can do variable weight comprehensive processing to quantitative indicators. Adopt relative deterioration degree and membership function,which is suitable for governing performance of the system, then do fuzzy comprehensive evaluation to the underlying index, finally we can get the evaluation score of system performance.
