The hydrodynamic test has a very important position in the field of ship research and teaching. Nowadays, most domestic and foreign towing tank hydrodynamic testing device are planar motion mechanism, the range of ship hydrodynamic test which can carry out is limited.While a new type of hydrodynamic testing device,which is the ship hydrodynamic testing device of six-degree freedom, can extend the range. The main contents of this testing device are:(1)Using the sophisticated theory of six-degree freedom platform to analysis the movement principle of it, deduced corresponding mathematical equation and get the operating principle of the testing device;(2) Referencing domestic and foreign plane motion mechanism, combined with the test requirements, to determine the technical performance of the testing device, then using correlation equation, combined with the ship model parameters, to determinate six-component balance of the testing device preliminary;(3) Designing the testing device completely, the trailer frame and control system matter the most, then analysis structural strength of the testing device;(4)Related hydrodynamic performance tests are carried out by the testing device, the test results are compared with the theoretical value to determine the stability of the testing device.
