RNP technology will become the main route management techniques of the aviation industry development for its advantages of increasing airspace utilization and airspace capacity in the coming decades. As calculated by the FMC, the ANP evaluation to the actual navigation performance is of great significance at the aspect of aircraft's navigation technology adapting to new air route requirements. This paper studies the algorithm of ANP.In this paper, the calculation of ANP is derived. First of all, this paper discusses RNP technology, including the definition of RNP, management methods, error sources and its calculation. Second, ANP is the determinative of an aircraft whether meets a RNP flight routes requested by the most direct evaluation criteria or not. According to the RNP relevant content, this paper derivates and calculates the ANP's formula, which gets the foundation for the evaluation navigation performance under a variety of navigation modes. In this paper, three kinds of navigation systems for RNP(DME, GPS and INS) have been studied. Respectively, according to the navigation principles of three navigation methods, this paper analyzes its navigation performance, and calculates its ANP. Then take the proposed construction the "Beijing-Shanghai" RNP2 route for examplet and determine whether the navigation system meets China's the requirements of current construction RNP routes or not. But the three navigation methods have its own performance limitations. As the limitations for using the three kinds of single navigation methods, Two kinds of integrated navigation systerms, GPS / INS and DME / DME / INS, are studied. Respectively, Basing on the calculation model established by Kalman filering principles and taking the proposed construction of the "Beijing-Shanghai" RNP2 route as an example, this paper simulates the system model to analyze its navigation performance and computes its ANP. From analyzing the applicability of RNP, it turns out that two integrated navigation methods are ideal.
