With the prosperity and development of the domestic automobile market, especially the continued rapid growth of passenger vehicle sales, the domestic automobile manufacturers have accelerated the strategic layout of enterprises and put in a lot of new models. Thus, the competition in the car market is becoming more and more fierce. Faced with the prosperity and fiercely competitive environment of the automobile market, the auto parts enterprises have both opportunities and challenges. The opportunity is that they can get more orders. The challenge is that automobile manufacturers put forward higher requirements for the quality of products of auto parts enterprises to remain competitive.Most domestic auto parts enterprises are third-tier suppliers. The products of these companies usually have the characteristics of simple structure, high similarity, order driven and short design cycle. Process planning level is an important factor restricting the quality of their products. At present, most auto parts enterprises have some problems in process planning, such as low efficiency, low standardization level and Poor knowledge succession. Based on the current situation, this paper put forward the variant process planning method of auto parts, in order to improve the efficiency, standardization level and the succession of the process knowledge in process planning.The variant process planning method of auto parts is based on group technology. In this paper, the principle, process and tool of the variant process planning method of auto parts are analyzed. The application of group technology in the variant process planning method of auto parts is discussed. Also, the standardization of process planning of auto parts is analyzed from two aspects: the standardization of process unit and the standardization of process route.In this paper, a method of part information description based on its features is used to extract part information, and the coding system of parts is established according to the parts feature information. On this basis, a model for calculating the similarity of parts is proposed. In this method, the similarity of parts is calculated by classifying the feature information of parts, setting weighting coefficient according to the degree of influence on the process and finally weighting sums. Then, a grouping method by clustering analysis based on the similarity of parts is proposed. In this method, first calculate the similarity between each parts and list the similarity coefficient matrix, then divide the parts into groups by cluster analysis.The variant process planning system of valves is designed and developed for S Corporation according to its situation and based on variant process planning method of auto parts. The functional model and technical architecture of the system are established, and the process database and process planning subsystem are analyzed in detail. At present, the system has been used for process planning in enterprise and works well.
