The railway of China has a rapid development, while the high-speed railway bearings still depend on imports. The domestic bearing industry is aceelerating the research on high-speed and heavy haul railway bearings. The research and development of the outfits to grind railway bearing rings has a positive significance to promote the localization of bearings for the high-speed rail and heavy haul freight train. Internal grinder of railway bearing is the key equipment to railway bearing gringding. Structure dynamic characteristics analysis and improving design of internal grinder is studered. Main research work is as follows:1) The dynamic model of internal grinder is established by SolidWorks and ANSYS.2) The dynamic model of guideway joint is established based on the hydrostatic theory and tribology theory. The stiffness of vertical and lateral of guideway joint is got by means of calculating the stiffness of oil layer and plastic coated layer. The result shows that:the stiffness of plastic coated layer is bigger than oil layer. The stiffness of vertical and lateral of guideway joint is increased markedly with the decrease of the thickness of plastic coated layer. The recommended thickness of plastic coated layer is 2 mm.3) The dynamic model of machine tool feed system which is driven by ball screw is established based on Hertz contact theory, mechanics of materials and rolling bearing analysis theory.The dynamic characteristics of feed system are analyzed systematically The research results show that the nut position has large effect on axial dynamic characteristics of feed system and nut closer to fixed supported end, the axial feed system natural frequency is higher. The dynamic characteristics of feed system fixed on both ends are superior to the feed system fixed at one end.4) The modal analysis and harmonic response analysis of railway bearing internal grinder machine are done. According to the characteristics of internal grinder process, the weak link of grinder is found. Dynamic optimization design of the internal grinder is done and the improvement plan of grinder structure is given.
