The Research About Micro Design Along The Street Under The Concept Of Urban Background Building

For a long time, attention about urban architecture has always been focused on landmarks buildings. But there is no enough importance attached to urban background buildings which account for the most part of the city and have the closest relationship with citizens. The excessive concern and blind pursuit of landmarks and single shaped buildings will not bring qualitative changes to the feature of the whole city. This is the reason why there are the first class landmarks buildings of the world in our country but there are not the first class cities of the world. Because world-class cities are made up of splendid and delightful blocks which consist of ordinary urban background buildings. So by studying the creation of urban background buildings facade along the street,this article is going to discuss how to construct a world-class block so as to construct a gorgeous city.The first and second sections are to introduce the origin of this text, define the object and purpose of the study and set up the basic framework. A conclusion about the features of excellent urban background buildings is drawn by discussing the relationship between urban background buildings and landmarks buildings, background buildings and city. And then we put forward the strategy and purpose of urban background buildings design after analysing these features. Finally we explain why should we finish facade form design of buildings along the street on the basis of design philosophy of urban background buildings and propose the tactic of facade design of buildings along the street, that is "harmony in diversity".The third section discusses issues about "harmony" of the tactic, expounding the different perspectives to control and guide in the facade design along the street from the aspect of control of urban background buildings design in order to coordinate the whole block.The fourth section discusses "diversity" of the tactic. We have to underline that "harmony" is the basis of "diversity", "diversity" is the development of "harmony". Therefore, the facade design along the street must be based on coordination and can't stress the individuality of buildings. Secondly, due to the limitation of resources, design building model like landmarks can't be supported. So this text suggests tiny creation of facade along the street and further states the direction and operation involved.The last section is to conclude the whole passage and look forward to the future.
