With the construction of vocational schools reaching the peak, the lack of construction standards for school construction leads to a series of problems of construction and operation. By focusing on the relationship between vocational school (park) and practice training base, this dissertation studies the model for location and space structure of vocational schools and parks by the method of literature review and case analysis. As the sub-topic of the ’Vocational School (Park) Construction Research Project’by National Research Group of Vocational School Construction, the research provides theory and empirical support for construction standard compilation, offers strategies to designers and builders.This dissertation begins with the characteristics of vocational education, followed by emphasis on the dependence relationship of vocational schools and the urban industries, and then analyze the the influence factors and the disposition principles of location selection to abstract the model for development strategy of vocational colleges. On the level of vocational education park, the dissertation reveals the model for space structure of vocational park by setting the shared practice training area as its center. On the level of vocational school, the dissertation generalizes the model for function combination, spatial management and the control of campus development in accordance with the teaching characteristics of vocational education.
