SOFC is the direct energy conversion device to generate electricity. SOF C technology in the core technology of the electrolyte, electrode and other ke y materials has exceeded. But optimize the overall performance still needs fur ther study. Since the ratio of hydrogen to carbon-based fuel more readily avail able and abundant, high thermodynamic efficiency at high temperatures. There fore, the development of carbon -based fuels SOFC necessary. Experimental me thod is to verify and improve the performance of SOFC important way. How ever, theoretical analysis and simulation for its low cost and high efficiency ad vantages to promote the development of SOFC technology is important.In this paper, literature review, theoretical analysis of the experimental re sults of methane (CH4) fueled SOFC to discuss and study. It includes the fol lowing sections:(1) introduces the basic principles of the SOFC and relevance to some t heories. Brief theoretical part simple physics simulation and theoretical modeli ng SOFC required desired equation(2) Review with CH4 fueled SOFC development situation and research direction, the direction of development of the existing achievements. Faced c oke, catalyst performance degradation reaction rate expression differences and o ther issues.(3) Summary of methane reforming reaction rate (SMR) related issues organize all aspects of the existing results, there are differences in the problem analysis(4) for the SMR problem, a combination of different experimental resu Its, the one that meets most of the experimental results based on reasonable as sumptions and test the reaction rate expression(5) summary.
