Power Generated With Methane From Garbage Landfill

Treatment method of domestic garbage in cities, application situation, method, feasibility and economical efficiency of technical application especially of power generation with domestic garbage landfill in Northeast of China, and social benefit and environment protection benefit of garbage energy are mainly discussed in the article.There is a great deal of organic substances in domestic garbage, which can generate gas after landfill fermenting via microorganism. The landfill gas contains methane, carbon dioxide, nitrogen gas and oxide as well as trace element, of which, carbon dioxide, methane, etc. are main components leading green house effect of the earth.The green house effect of methane can be 21 times of the carbon dioxide. If landfill gas is emitted without collection and control, it will not only pollute local environment, but also has a risk of fire and explosion, which shall be a hidden safety trouble for landfill working and ambient inhabitant.Meanwhile, methane generated from garbage landfill is another good energy. Power generated with methane from garbage landfill is a new power generating technology, including methane collection, methane refining, power generating and transforming as well as transmission, etc.Due to the limit of condition and concept, there is no activity of utilizing landfill gas resource in the Northeast of China. This article shall sufficiently study the feasibility, economical efficiency, environment benefit and social benefit of the technology application in the Northeast:power generation with methane from domestic garbage landfill in cities.Refer to the study, that landfill gas output is not significantly affected by ambient temperature.Outputs of all seasons in the Northeast are almost consistent, suitable to be the fuel of power generation. It is practical to apply power generation technology with garbage landfill gas in Northeast of China. This technology is valuable for popularization and application in the North of China, with good technical & economical index, significant effect of reducing green house gas emission and improvement of environment, and it solves the problem of possible explosion and fire due to disorder movement and gathering of landfill gas, avoids secondary pollution of environment, improve ambient environment around the landfill with great social benefit.The technology establishes an excellent foundation for circulating economy, reducing emission of green house gas with use of landfill gas, and it shall definitely bring a limitless business opportunity for clean resources industry which is represented by power generation with garbage.
