Research Of The Development Course Of China's Modern Urban Design (1980-2015)

At first, this paper surveys the history of the development of international urban design process. In this context, this paper reviews the development course of China's modern urban design, and divides the historical stage into four stages:Exploration, development, boom and transition. Further, the paper summarizes the four characteristics of the development of China's modern urban design.In terms of the theory, the theory of city space and features, operation theory of urban design and urban design related technology are three major local theories.In the aspect of the practice, the street and square, the old city renewal, the city center, and the overall urban design of waterfront are the five kinds of typical urban design practice types in China; With respect to the characters and groups, China has formed the early and mid two batches of representative groups and relevant academic groups of urban design; As far as the organization and operation, the paper illustrates the development of the regulation,management and teaching system of urban design in China. On the background of the new-type urbanization, China's urban design development should be more cultural, digital, refined and ecological.Finally, the paper presents the new prospects of the China's urban design development as to the Central Urban Work Conference.
