This paper is divided into two parts, the first is research on reciprocating compressor gas pulsation simulation and the second is research on large gas station centrifugal compressor operation simulation system development.Reciprocating compressor is an important device to compress and convey process gas which is widely used in petrochemical chemical industry, energy, and other process industries. Due to the complexity structure of reciprocating compressor, the gas pulsation caused by intermittent operation of reciprocating compressor severely affects the stable operation of the compressors, and it is the main reason for piping vibration.In the first part the research on reciprocating compressor gas pulsation simulation, according to the mechanism analysis of the theory of gas pulsation, based on the plane wave theory, established the transfer matrix of pulsation pressure of the pipeline including the reducer and tee junction which are commonly used pipe fittings. The CFX is used to do the computational fluid dynamics simulation, the influence of gas pulsation in the pipeline contained reducer and tee junction is studied, simple experience graph is summed up, and provided a theoretical support for the pipeline design of reciprocating compressor units and the suppression of gas pulsation in complex pipelines. Then, combining with an engineering reform instance, the related laws summarized in the paper is used in the actual production.In the second part the research on large gas station centrifugal compressor operation training system development, aimed at one of the gas transmission station in the long gas pipeline of the west to east gas pipeline project, improved the efficiency of the station staff training, an operation simulation system is developed. West to east gas pipeline project is the artery energy of our country which contained many large gas transmission stations. Centrifugal compressor is the core of devices in the gas transmission station which is specialized and difficult maintenance, as a result, the traditional training methods effect is not ideal. In this part, according to the field research, the need of enterprise staff is obtained. Then, the research of the related station drawing is carefully studied, mastered the system process flow and main equipments and devices in the gas transmission station. At last, the three-dimensional modeling of the entire station is completed by 3D plant design software. This operation simulation system directly reflects the actual situation of the large gas transmission station and lays a foundation of the station intelligent management.In summary, in the first part the mechanism of flow pulsation in the pipeline is studied by means of fluid dynamics simulation. The research results provided a way of thinking for control of gas pulsation and the optimization of the pipeline. In the second part, the 3D plant software is used to complete the development of a large gas station operation training system, to provide assistance for the efficient training management of enterprises.
