With all kinds of switch devices used in the electronic system and power system more and more widely, researches about the effects of electromagnetic pulse on the switching devices become particularly necessary. The repetitive-frequency electromagnetic pulse(RF EMP) is much closer to the real environment of electronic equipments, and due to this, this paper carries out the research that repetitive-frequency electromagnetic pulses interfere with the switch trigger system. This paper not only provides references for the study of interaction between RF EMP and switches in the electrical power system, but also is actually significant for ensuring the safe and reliable running of application system. This paper is based on the repetitive-frequency electromagnetic pulse simulator and takes hydrogen thyratron trigger system as a research object. It starts with coupling paths and coupling forms to analyze the interference from RF EMP to switch trigger system. Firstly, this paper introduces the basic structure of repetitive-frequency electromagnetic pulse simulator, and mainly analyzes the basic principles of various independent pulse sources and the output structure of transmission line transformer. In addition to this, through the analysis and comparison of the switch performance, we put forward the design that takes hydrogen thyratron as the main modulation switch, and design the driving circuit. Then, from the point of coupling paths, the paper analyzes the hydrogen thyratron trigger system interfering mechanism and carries out some experiment investigations. Moreover, through contrast experiments with the different number and different interval repetitive-frequency electromagnetic pulse, this paper analyzes the accumulative effect and high-frequency component coupling effect on switch trigger system interference. At last, in the paper, shielding protection and an anti-interference circuit are designed to restrain interference effectively. Spectrum contrast figures and multiple pulse experiments verify the effectiveness of the protective measures.
