Permanent magnet synchronous motor has a series of advantages such as small size, big torque inertia ratio, low noise, high efficiency, high power factor, wide speed range, good movement characteristics. Therefore, it becomes a hot research filed of modern high-performance speed control system. Aiming at a series requirements of modern high-performance permanent magnet synchronous motor control system, this paper designs and realizes a high-precision and high-speed permanent magnet synchronous motor control system. The system core architecture is based on DSP and CPLD. It adopts three-phase independent H-bridge inverter circuits and combines with resolver using which measuring position and speed of the motor rotor. Meanwhile, the paper designs current sensing, current protection, main voltage detection and rotor position and speed detection circuits to realize high-precision control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor speed. Through elaborately analysis of the modern high-performance PMSM control system requirements, In hardware designing, this paper elaborately designs the PMSM control system schematics, and all the required components are selected by detailed comparative analysis, all the components are using industry-standard, all the PCB are manually routing. Thus it greatly improves the stability, reliability and anti-interference ability. In software designing, this paper uses vector control algorithm to achieve decoupling control of the motor torque component and excitation component of PMSM, which can achieve good torque response and control the motor speed precisely. It can be seen through the experimental verification that the PMSM control system can precisely control the motor speed, and has good speed dynamic response. And the maximum speed can reach 10000 RPM. Meanwhile, the PMSM control system has small size, low noise. All of these characteristics show that the designing of the PMSM control system is feasible.
