Renewal Research Of Dalian Dongguan Street Based On The Symbiosis Theory

Renewal of the historic district is the subject in the process of urban development. Since the period of China’s reform and opening-up, with the growth of the population and economic development, the old or the historic district in the city gradually has not been able to adapt to the demands of the development of urbanization. So we should relocate historical and valuable districts in the city to make it vigorous in the level of environment, society, economy, culture and so on.Symbiosis theory is one of the comparatively leading thoughts in architecture field in recent years.It emphases that various elements in symbiotic environment come into being different symbiotic units and they survive in a variety of symbiotic modes of mutual coordination and mutual restriction and mutual development. So the theory is suitable for the historic districts in urban environment.Through the research and analysis of Dalian dongguan district, this paper summarizes that urban district reconstruction should control and reconstruct district functions from the planning aspects of macro; reconstruct district space structure from the medium level in the urban designing; achieve the goal of sustainable developments between new and old blocks with some methods; develop sequentially under the policy and legal norms. It also shows that the public should participate in the process of renewal to make the historical district conform the need to people’s daily life. The paper is putting forward feasible suggestions for the development of the city in the future.
