Update the protection of historical and cultural streets is one of the key point of urban construction in our country,is also a social and economic development under the trend of constantly promoting the fact that it not only contains the history and culture,social justice,political rights,economic benefit results of non-material factors are intertwined,and in the process of urban public space resource redistribution,and urban form of space layout,land use,traffic organization,landscape material factors are closely related.Historical and cultural blocks are an important part of the historical and cultural heritage protection system.Their protection and development have received attention from the society and the government.On the other hand,with the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization,a large number of historical and cultural blocks cannot adapt to the development needs of modern cities and gradually decline.The contradiction between the protection of historical and cultural blocks and the development of urban economy is becoming increasingly prominent.The decline of historical and cultural blocks,the backward infrastructure conditions and the single architectural form and block functional structure can no longer meet the living needs of residents,resulting in the loss of block population.The ancient and static state of the historic and cultural block forms a sharp contrast and contrast with modern life.The self-renewal and development in a certain general state further perpetuates this contradiction,resulting in the destruction of the original texture of the block,the reduction of its identifiability and the loss of its original vitality.Function is an important factor for the continuation and development of historical and cultural blocks.To improve the block function,rebuild the block order,promote the organic renewal of blocks,and stimulate the sense of identity of residents is not only the revitalization of the declining traditional culture,but also the inheritance of architectural context and regional culture.By collecting and sorting out relevant literature and materials of historical and cultural blocks at home and abroad,this paper analyzes and summarizes the status of the protection and development of historical and cultural blocks,and studies the changes of the functions of historical and cultural blocks before and after the renovation.Taking the block function mixing as the clue,this paper studies the currentstatus function,function orientation and protection development direction of xujiangxi road historical and cultural block from the Angle of functional improvement,and summarizes the influence factors of the functional improvement and promotion of historical and cultural block on the block renewal and protection.Through four specific designs,such as the renovation of no.11 residential house in hengzhong lane,the design strategies summarized in this paper are demonstrated in practice,so as to play a positive role in the protection of historical and cultural blocks,the integration of historical and cultural blocks and urban development,and the realization of sustainable development of historical and cultural blocks.
