Nowadays in China, the excessive speed of urban motorization results in the deterioration of urban transportation and environment. Characterized by high efficiency, energy saving and environmental protection, the slow traffic system is favored by more and more people under the environment of advocating “low carbon travel, green travel” today. Of all the travel modes in slow traffic system, the public bicycle systems holds a vital important station. To energetically develop the public bicycle rental service would not only attract more travelers to choose this low carbon travelling way but also help to alleviate traffic jams and significantly improve urban environmental quality and service level of the public transportation.Considering the public bicycle location problem, once the site of bicycle rental station is determined, it's not easy to be changed. Whether this matter can be well addressed will have a direct bearing on the development of public bicycle system and help to improve the efficiency of resource use in urban construction and promote the service quality of public transportation.For the first part, each components of the public bicycle system are introduced in detail after the investigation of its background and the state of art. It mainly includes the parts as followed: operation mode of public bicycle system; mainly components in public bicycle system and basic characteristic analyzing. The dominating impact factors in model construction could be concluded by analyzing the public bicycle rental system.Secondly, the thesis would focus on the investigation of the basic overlay model of location problem, the set overlay model and the maximum overlay model are mainly described. In this part, an important function named the time-satisfaction function which is applied in the model is discussed. This time-satisfaction function is optimized by transforming it into a function whose satisfaction index is determined by the distance, then choosing a new satisfaction function which fits those instance properties after analysis.Lastly, after the study the theory of the existing location model, a maximum overlay model is established based on the optimized time-satisfaction function. Normally, the public bicycle location model is a complex nonlinear planning model with multi constraints which is actually a NP-hard problem. It is verified by an analysis example that the measurement of the index in time-satisfaction function, the most optional solution could be achieved by the model which covers all the demanding points. This also demonstrate immune optimization algorithm has a good global gradual-approach convergence and could rapidly evolve to get the relative most optional solution.
