In urban traffic network which intersection is a key transportation node and it is the main factors of causing traffic delays and disruption,it is the more complex transportation node of flow characteristics in urban road network,due to interleaving and signal traffic control and the intersection of capacity is generally lower than the capacity of sections.So how to maximize the capacity of the intersection,protection of urban traffic network safe and efficient operation is the key to solving the problem of urban traffic congestion.Analysis the structure of the urban road network,as can be seen the trunk road network is a core part of the urban road network,the safe and efficient operation of trunk transportation system is key to solving urban traffic problems,and the sub-region partitioning problem of the trunk coordinate system is to improve trunk traffic system efficiency and core to solve urban traffic problem.In order to in-depth analysis and research about the sub-region partitioning problem of the trunk coordinate system,this paper summarizes the current situation for the sub-region issues domestic and foreign in the field of traffic control,followed by analysis of the advantages and disadvantages of the existing sub-region method,finally in-depth analysis and research about the random nature for traffic flow between the intersections,and on this basis,this paper proposed a new division indicators and division processes.The main contents of this paper include the following two aspects:First,the brief description about the random nature of the concepts of traffic flow and classical models namely the normal distribution model and geometric distribution model in this paper.On the basis of analysis and summary of the mixed traffic situation of domestic urban road,this paper discusses the factors affecting domestic urban road the random nature law for traffic flow,the establishment of the stochastic model of traffic flow between intersections for the trunk coordination system,discussed in detail the trends of randomness R(v)and how to determine the randomness between intersections for the trunk coordination system,The model is able to simulate the more objective condition of the operation of traffic between intersections.Second,it introduces the basic concepts and optimization algorithm of bandwidth,then analyzes the impact of number of intersections of the Green Wave bandwidth,at the same time presenting signal timing process with a trunk coordinate system of intersection.On this basis,we proposed the concept of NV value,the establishment of a method of traffic control sub-region is divided based on the NV value.This paper theoretically analysis the feasibility and advantages of the method.Finally,this paper chooses a case of arterial line intersection of Lanzhou City,Gansu Province,take advantage of sub-region indicators and sub-division of method of this paper proposed for the implementation of the sub-region division of the trunk systems,this paper implements simulation experiments and analysis making use of VISSIM and SYNCHRO.Experimental results show that this paper proposed method that based on the NV value of the sub-region division can further improve traffic efficiency for the intersection of the trunk system,compared with conventional trunk coordinated system;therefore this paper proposed the method of the sub-region division is effective and feasible.
