High voltage circuit breaker plays a crucial role in the entire chain of delivering power. Whether the circuit breaker can be maintained in good working condition has an effect on the safe operation and reliable power supply of the entire power system. According to relevant statistics, the majority of the circuit breaker failure was caused by mechanical failure. Therefore, obtaining accurate and efficient mechanical characteristics of the circuit breaker is of great importance to the safe operation of the circuit breaker. At present, China maintains a regular maintenance system to breaker. Whether the equipment is in good condition or not, the regular maintenance will be carried out, which wastes a lot of time and money. In terms of the circuit breaker's failure detection methods, it adopts touch sensors to collect install mechanical properties, which contains a clip mounting difficulties and affects the circuit breakers.The thesis combines the project of Yunnan Power Grid Corporation and proposes image recognition circuit breaker actuator movement and mechanical properties acquisition method. The method is based on computer vision, which optimizes image quality by image processing. Besides, it obtains actuator marker position through method of using Hough transform principle, and gets the motion characteristics markers by sequencing image transformation. What's more, it mark the distance through the method of marking distance, which obtains the mechanical parameters of the circuit breaker, and realize the non-contact measurement of the mechanical properties of high voltage circuit breakers.This method can get rid of the shackles of mounting the sensor, and improve the effect of the mechanical properties of the circuit breaker measure. Therefore, it can ensure the using time of the circuit breaker. Combined with intelligent fault diagnosis system for forecasting and scientific research institutes in Yunnan Power Grid Corporation, it can achieve prediction and diagnosis, and improve the security and stability of the power system. Thus it effectively reduces economic losses brought by the failure of power system and improves the quality of supplying power and economy.
