To develop economic, we should develop the power first. In the current rapid development of social and economic situation, the electric power industry is growing rapidly, the development of thermal power unit is more and more to the direction of large capacity and high parameter, high efficiency. With the increase of unit capacity of thermal power unit cold end system is becoming more and more important and complicated, the normal operation of the cold end system is safe and economic operation of the unit has a decisive influence. and the steam turbine cold end system is one of the biggest parts of water consumption for coal-fired power units, Therefore, the research of cold end system for coal-fired power units and to optimize its operation, to improve the operation of the economy for coal-fired power units, energy saving, environmental protection is of great importance.This paper expounds the guodian tongling power plant 600 MW thermal power unit cold end optimization experiment’s basic situation, For circulating water system for a cycle pump with double speed increase after transforming the circulation water adjustable range of solutions, According to the unit under different back pressure increased output and circulating water pump consumption reactive test results, Analysis and presents the different circulating water temperature, different load of the steam turbine best back pressure and circulating water pump operation mode, In order to achieve the unit operation optimization management, provide a basis for the further energy saving.
