In the 21 st century when building industry develops rapidly and urbanization process accelerates, a growing number of urban renewal projects are implemented, thereby leading to a large amount of building waste. In China, instead of being recycled in a scientific way, most of the building waste is processed as garbage, either piled up in the open air or thrown away in landfill. The recycled aggregate obtained by crushing, screening and cleaning of waste concrete can be used in the production of concrete, which can improve the utilization rate of construction waste. The recycled aggregate produced from waste concrete is inferior to natural aggregate in basic physical properties in water absorption, and porosity, thus failing to be widely applied in projects. In order to improve the fundamental properties of recycled concrete, this paper mixes graphene oxide with recycled concrete to improve the fundamental physical and mechanical properties of recycled concrete since graphene oxide can promote the cement hydration. In this way, the building waste can be utilized in projects successfully. The improvement of mechanical mechanism of concrete by using micro experiment to improve the mechanical strength of concrete. This paper, which performs a study on recycled concrete of graphene oxide, reaches conclusions as follows:1. A test analysis on the fundamental properties of recycled aggregate was conducted to find that recycled aggregate faces the problems including low apparent density, high water absorption and high crush index; But with reference to the specification of recycled coarse aggregate for concrete, the recycled coarse aggregate can meet the basic requirements of the performance of concrete;2. Graphene oxide was mixed with cement to carry out compression, blending, abrasion and durability tests for concrete. These tests have made a comparative study on the mechanical properties of natural concrete and recycled concrete, finding that graphene oxide can significantly improve the mechanical properties of concrete;3. Graphene oxide was mixed with cement mortar to conduct compression and blending tests about cement mortar, which prove that graphene oxide plays a certain role in enhancing cement mortar's strength.4. Cement-based samples of graphene oxide were tested by scanning electron microscope, and the findings show that with the addition of graphene oxide, hydrated cement products have a higher density and there is a lower porosity within cement base, as a result of which the aggregation effect is more obvious.
