Suspend-dome structure is a new type of pre-stressed steel structure based on the single-layer spherical lattice shell and the tensegrity system, which combines both benefits of the single layer reticulated shell structure and the string structure. And the large-span suspend-dome system is widely used in engineering for its advantages in large space covering. The previous research on suspend-dome structure mainly focused on the performance analysis of small or medium span, or concentrate on the seismic response analysis under uniform earthquake excitation.With the increasing of span, the effect of spatial coherence of earthquake motions is greater,the same to the effect of the stress and displacement under the change of temperature.In this paper the finite element software ANSYS is used to make seismic response analysis of the 120 m span Schwedler suspend-dome under the multi-component and multiple inputs seismic action, and the studies of the performance of the long-span Schwedler suspend-dome structure considering the temperature change effect is also conducted. The research contents and the conclusions are as follows:1.The research on the seismic response analysis between uniform and multi-support excitation is carried out under EI-Centro and Taft seismic wave. And the conclusions are as follows:(1)The method of multiple-support excitations to loading seismic action must be considered in the large-span spatial structure.(2)The traveling wave effect has a little effects on the seismic response of the suspend-dome structure.(3)The horizontal seismic excitation is an important factor which influences the ultimate stability bearing capacity of the structure under the action of multidimensional excitation.2.Comparative analysis on seismic response under the same wave in different incentives is carried out. The conclusions are as follows:(1) With respect to the uniform excitation, multi-point excitation consider traveling wave effect of seismic waves, which makes the lever stress of upper layer lattice shell to be increased and more unevenly distributed.(2)When Suspendome structure has been affected under Multi-point excitation, The force of lever and prestressed cable near to the bearing of Suspendome structure is greater than the force under uniform excitation. Because Suspendome structure is a large space structure which has great stiffness and the movement of the bearing makes great impact for lever and prestressed cable near to the bearing of Suspendome structure.3.Comparative analysis on the performance of large-span suspend-dome system considering the influence of temperature is carried out.The conclusions are as follows:(1)Negative temperature difference makes significantly effect to the node-displacement of the Upper layer lattice shell; However, positive temperature difference makes significantly effect to the lever-stress of the Upper layer lattice shell;(2)The stress of prestressed cable farthest from the center can be the highest level of sensitivity by temperature changing. And the sensitivity is slowly getting weaker by the location of prestressed cables from outside to inside.(3)Nonlinear buckling analysis of the structure can be drawn that: with the temperature increasing, ultimate bearing capacity of the structure decreased slowly. In this paper, the research of temperature changing for Suspendome structure can provide the basic data for Coupling Analysis of Temperature response and basic data.
