The traffic problems are increasingly prominent with the acceleration of urbanization in China. At present, the main way to ease traffic problems of cities is to develop three-dimensional traffic lines such as building a large number of city overpasses to ease ground traffic pressure. The seismic research and design of the city overpasses are especially important because the damages of the overpasses cause heavy casualties and economic losses in the earthquake. It is a hot research topic that considering the bridge seismic design in traveling wave effect in recent years. It selected an overpass of a city as the research object and made use of MIDAS/Civil software to simulate and research the seismic performance of the bridge in this article, the content as follows:(1) It established the overpass analysis model and considered the bridge response spectrum analysis and time history analysis under the consistent incentive earthquake action in this article. It got earthquake actions along and cross the bridge as well as piers and deck displacement and internal force under combinations of different seismic load.(2) It considered the influence of the traveling wave effect by choosing the suitable seismic waves and calculated the earthquake multi-particle excitation responses in different wave velocities respectively. It also calculated and got the corresponding displacement and internal force and compared the influence in displacement and internal force of the key bridge parts in different wave velocities.(3) It compared consistent excitation with traveling wave effect about bridge seismic response results in the case of small earthquakes and strong earthquakes. It also performed the error analysis in this paper and the research results can provide a reference for engineering design.
