Missle is an indispensable element of wordwide military wars.Also indispensable is training missible to pilot training.To alleviate problems caused by importing bans on training missile, digitalization of one typical training missle is necessary to improve pilot training level and to ensure independence of army equipment.An improved design is proposed in this paper based on the following aspects,which is implemented in product development and manufacture suessfully.1. Detailed analysis of a typical seeker is presented in this paper. Pulse modulation principles of the L-type binary detector and tracking principles of the 3 DOF bi-frame gyroscope are summarized. Design scheme of seeker digitalization is proposed. A mixed structure of DSP(Digital Signal Processing)and FPGA(Field Prograrnrnable Gate Array)is designed for the digital system according to the overall system design. Selection of components is also determined.The hardware system is designed to fulfill the requirement of high precision and downsizing using Protel 99 SE, and is proved to meet design requirements.2. The main control software was programmed in C.Modularization of seeker signal processing and control software was performed.The designed modules consist of system BIT,target processing,disturbance rejecting tracking etc.Meanwhile,the developed software has realized processing and control of seeker signal and has fulfilled system design requirements.3. System simulation. joint debugging, performance testing and environmental testing were conducted.Results show overall seeker requirements and army training requirements are all met.The proposed seeker has less board area and a significant decrease of circuit components is achieved.High precision,modularization and downsizing are also achieved successfully.Manufacture cost is brought down and the system becomes easier to debug.System reliability is increased and equipment for army training can be guaranteed to be complete and timely.
